Background

I was born in 1942 just as World War II began. The forceps that were to pull me from the womb crushed my skull and I was still born. The doctors brought me back to life.

My father, Miguel, was 39and just starting our family. As the first and only son with 6 sisters I learned responsibility at an early age. I was considered fragile and was not allowed to go outside and play with the other kids.

Healers were part of our family for generations. So from the beginning I went with my father as he visited those who needed help. Doctors did not respect this gift so work was done in secret and for free. I remember him working on people on the floor and in darkness and telling me what he was doing and how.  He would say "You may not understand this now, but some day you will”. My father would tell me stories about my great uncle who was arrested for practicing medicine with out a license, was put in jail and never heard from again. He also told me that one should always treat a patient even if they have no money. If my father was paid at all it was mostly in trade.

He also taught me how the body worked like a mechanical system, Tendons are the ropes, joints are the pulleys and bones are the leavers. (This from a man who could not read or write.) The biggest thing that my mother and father taught me was how to communicate with my subconscious, so when I need to do any healing work my subconscious mind tells me where the problem is, and how to fix it.

My father earned the respect of the community for all the healing work he did, and for always helping his neighbors.  His funeral was the largest in the area.

Throughout my life I have continued to educate myself and build on this gift.

Visiting Mexico on my honeymoon in 2007, my wife Heather and I felt we had come home. We were in Puerto Vallarta for about 24 hours and decided to move to Mexico. We went back to Oregon, packed up our house, and left to our new home with all our belongings.

Starting in Puerto Vallarta I began helping people and my reputation spread.  I was fortunate to meet D. Jesus Mendez a respected Naturopath Doctor, iridologist and healer in the area. As time has gone by, we have worked together many times.

In 2008 my wife and I moved to San Pancho, Nayarit where we created a beautiful home, treatment area and garden.

The community here appreciates my gifts, and I am honored to be called "don Miguel".
